Bettye A. Barrios is a founding partner of Johnson, Johnson, Barrios & Yacoubian.  She was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on June 26, 1947.  Bettye received her undergraduate degree from the University of Southwestern Louisiana and her law degree from Loyola University.  She was a member of the Loyola Law Review and a recipient of West Publishing award for highest class average, Corpus Juris Secundum Award and Criminal Courts Bar Association Edwin Mahoney Award.  Bettye was admitted to the Louisiana Bar in 1979 and practices before the U. S. District Courts for the Eastern, Middle and Western Districts of Louisiana, the U. S. Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals and the U. S. Supreme Court.

She is currently a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association, American Bar Association, Maritime Law Association of the United States and Southeastern Admiralty Law Institute.
